Arrival

We will pick you up at the airport in Johannesburg and go directly to our Lodge.  We are a 3 hour drive from the airport.  The night we will make a camp fire and have your first barbecue in Africa.

We leave early for Kruger National Park. Upon entry, immediately start the safari experience as your we shows you the wonders of nature. Make your way to Berg-En-Dal Rest Camp and check in. If time permits, we can take you for further game viewing until the gate closes, or you may decide to rest up and enjoy the camp.

Dinner is served at the camp.

It is an early rise as we gets you out of bed and on the road with a hot cup of coffee as the sun begins to peak its head from behind the horizon. Early morning is the best time to be game viewing as night predators are still on the move. After a couple of hours ticking off all the new species, stop at a beautiful picnic spot for breakfast snacks. After that, carry on with your adventure, taking in all this amazing park has to offer in the way of wildlife and vistas.

Stop for brunch mid-morning, prepared in the park by ourselves . We use a gas flattop to prepare just about anything you can imagine, but watch out that the monkeys do not get it first! Spend the heat of the day chilling out until the afternoon for another exciting game drive with your guide, but only after a great lunch spread.

A delicious dinner under the stars is lined up.

Moving Day
Wake up early, as you will be going on an open vehicle game drive with the park rangers. They will take you out before sunrise so that you have the park all to yourself. Hopefully, we will catch a few special animals moving on the empty roads before the other guests get a chance to start their search!

After three hours, return for breakfast and to pack up. We will then check out and move to a camp further north, in the central part of the park. Of course, you will still be on a game drive, looking for various wildlife that call Kruger their home. We  will be on hand to unlock all the wild secrets of this intensely beautiful landscape, which will now be changing as you drive.

After arrival at Satara Rest Camp, you will check in and have some time to put your feet up. Take a nap, visit the pool, sit in the shade by the fence line, and watch the animals pass by. Once the batteries have charged up (yours and the cameras), have a snack lunch and then go on a short sunset drive.
More Exploration
This morning, you can choose to do a bushwalk with the rangers. This optional extra activity will be booked and decided on once there. If not, your guide will take you out on a game drive, by now, your list of animal sightings will be growing quite significantly. If there is something you still need to tick off, your guide will use his extensive knowledge of Kruger to canvas the areas this missing gem would most likely be hiding. Return to camp for a cooked breakfast and enjoy the heat of the day at your leisure.

Meet for lunch, then go out on an open vehicle drive with the rangers. This is called a sunset night drive, where you will leave an hour before sunset. When the sun dips and the rest of the guests need to be back in camp, we will pull out the spotlights and use these to find some nocturnal creatures.

Return to camp, where your guide will have a fabulous meal ready to eat under the stars!

Departure
You will take one last early morning open vehicle safari drive before returning to camp for a quick breakfast. We then check out and make our way out of the park, hopefully spotting one last wildlife treasure as we make our way back to our Lodge

At this point, you can visit the Blyde River Canyon on the way or even add an extra night if you would like to explore the region extensively. Let us know if you would like this option when you enquire
